Can You Do a Day Trip to Daydream Island?
Yes, you can go for the day.
Daydream Island Day Trip
You can tour for a day on the island. I did this on a daycation from a cruise ship docked off Airlie Beach in Queensland Australia.
From the cruise ship, you catch a ferry to the island. And, there was a buffet for lunch at the resort.
Then, you can walk around the island. You'll see employees driving in a buggy around the island. One gave me a lift back to the jetty.
Since I visited Daydream Island, it has been upgraded. You can see the Living Reef experience and the Great Barrier Reef.
The Ngaro People are the traditional owners of Daydream Island and the Whitsundays.

The Marine Life
Who is the Fish?
Do you recognise the fish in the picture?
As soon as I saw the blue fish at Daydream Island in the living reef. I recognised it as the same type as Dory from Finding Nemo and Finding Dory.
It's known as a Blue Tang. And, it is also known as a Blue Hippo Tang, Blue Tang, Palette Surgeonfish, and Regal Tang.
The Blue Tang's home is the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland.
