You can tour for a day on Daydream Island.
I did on a daycation from a cruise ship docked off Airey's Beach.
From the cruise ship, you catch a boat to the island.Â
And, there was a buffet lunch.
Then, you can walk around the island.
You'll see employees driving in a buggy around the island. One gave me a lift back to the jetty.
Since I visited Daydream Island, it has been upgraded.
See the Living Reef and the Great Barrier Reef.
