Walk in the Rainforest
on an Illawarra Fly Treetop Walk Adventure
Tree Top Walk Illawarra NSW
We drove from Canberra, ACT to Sydney Airport.
On the way, we made a stop to go for a walk at the Illawarra Fly Treetop Adventures in the Illawarra Ranges.
I traveled with my daughter. Traveling with my daughter, I can always find myself experiencing something that I wouldn't have expected to do.
Tree Top Walk at Illawarra Fly
On this occasion, we walked downhill to the treetop's walk barriers. That is, where you start the walk through the treetops.
Fairy Forest
On the walk to the treetop walk, you'll find activities to entertain kids and adults.
You can see the cute fairy homes in the Fairy Forest.

Illawarra Fly Treetop Walk

Illawarra Fly Treetop Walk
How high is Illawarra Fly?
We were 20 to 30 meters off the ground high up in the treetops walk. And, there were trees still taller than us.
The walk through the treetops was 1.5 km.
Illawarra Treetop Walk
The barriers were made of metal with see-through gaps. In the middle, there was a spiral staircase tower, Knights Tower.
My daughter climbed up to the top and took some photos.
We walked through all the barriers to the end. The last platform had metal with see-through gaps.
So, my daughter took some more photos of the landscape.
Besides these two photos, I photographed the images and edited them.
You can see the landscape photos I edited of her photos below.

Illawarra Walk in the Tree Tops
Walk Back from the treetop walk or Phone to Arrange a Pick-Up.
At the end of the walk, there were stairs. You climb them upwards to walk towards the Visitor Centre and the exit.
On a sign, there was a phone number. And, you could call it to arrange a pick up for those that need help.
So, we used this service cause of me.

The View from Illawarra Treetop Walk
These two images of the landscape are from Knights Tower. And, at the end of the treetop walk was photographed by my daughter.
And, I created art from the photos in post-production.

Illawarra Fly Treetop Zipline
On the right side of us, we saw a group of people.
They were experiencing the Illawarra zipline treetop adventure.

You’re welcome Yuri. I’m ok when there’s a surface that is covered. Otherwise, it’s very challenging for me too.
Wow! This looks amazing. I would absolutely love it but my husband and son would never go! My daughter, however, would be the first one out there!
Thank you Pam. It’s interesting how the one family sees experiences differently.

This is such a cool walk above and in the treetop canopy. Would love to do this! Last year I climbed two decommissioned fire towers so this experience would be awesome.
