My fifth and last market for 2019 was the Christmas Makers Market.

The details were:

  • Saturday 14 December 2019

  • Santa's Arrival Parade starts at 11am followed by free Santa Photos until 4pm
  • The Village
  • Bacchus Marsh Shopping Centre
  • 160-194 Main St Bacchus Marsh

On market day, the Best Seller was my 2020 Calendar for yourself and gifts.

And, the request at recent markets, the Pink Breeze butterfly framed was there. Watch this space, it'll be available online soon.

The day started out on a positive note, as an Acceptance in the APS Digital Exhibition 2019 for Jester arrived not long after midnight.

And, it was a lovely market day in Bacchus Marsh.

I hung out with some new peeps, the organizers, and met some new folks who like my artwork.

Then, I had a photo opportunity with Santa Claus!

Also, it was my first outdoor market with a marquee.

The Marquee

  • The seller of the Red Track 3 m x 3 m temporary Pop-up Marquee used at the outdoor market is Mytopia
  • I have dwelt with them in the past, so I picked them again due to their after sales customer service.
  • I found, that the black marquee is ideal on sunny days as it created less glare than the white ones. Because, I am sensitive to sunglare due to migraines.

1 Chevron Market

The first market I attended was the  Chevron Market.

And, the details were:

  • Sunday 17 November 2019
  • ICSW
  • 601 Heaths Rd, Werribee

What an achievement!

I ended up near the animals, and the snakes. Snakes are my phobia!

On the positive, it gave me the opportunity to ask the kids which animals they were going to see.

I liked being at the market.

I found it a positive experience.

And, I met stallholders, and folks who like my artwork.

One big step towards small steps at a time.

Labels and Postcards

  • I used Avery WePrint to print the labels and postcards.
  • For the labels, I designed them in Adobe Spark and uploaded into the Avery WePrint templates and adjusted them to fit into their templates and make sure they fitted into the bleed lines.
  • In Post-production, I designed my postcards using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. Then, I loaded my images into the Avery WePrint templates. I picked a template which had the postcard template for the reverse side.

Photography Gear

Some of my photography gear I purchased from Toby Deals. For example:

  • Tokina AT-X 116 Pro DX AF 11-15mm f/2.8 II Lens
  • Manfrotto BH Befree Advanced Travel Aluminum Tripod
