You walk along the Avenue of the Dead. In the distance, on the right you see the Pyramid of the Sun. Further back in the background, you glimpse the Pyramid of the Moon.

Do what the locals do!
You climb the steps of the structures sideways and diagonally.
I find it's so much easier to go up and down steps this way.
Pyramid of the Sun
The Pyramid of the Sun
Look up towards the sky. And, you will see the overpowering size of the Pyramid of the Sun.
You can climb to the top of the Pyramid of the Sun. There are several platforms on the way up. So, you can take breaks and see the view on the way up.
There are cables covered in black rubber-like material. They are not taut, so you can't rely on them for much support.
Once you are up the top, there is a platform. So, you can walk around the top. See the views from different directions. You can see the area of Teotihuacán.
In another spot, the Pyramid of the Moon looks small in comparison to the Pyramid of the Sun.
On the way down, remember the support you can hold onto is not very taut. Somehow, I still managed to get down.
But, in the last part of the Pyramid of the Sun, there was no rope. So, I needed to sit down and go down each step one at a time. that way.
I had heard from someone I know who had climbed pyramids. They went down backward. So, it is best not to wear a dress.
Tip, Be Prepared!
Before I visited the pyramids. I walked up and down flights of stairs instead of catching the elevator. On my lunch breaks, you'd find me in the stairwell doing the steps.
So, make sure you prepare for the climb, up and down.
Make sure you wear a hat. It's a long hot walk. There's some shade near the museum.
Take water and snacks with you. And, keep hydrated.
